Are you between the ages of 13 and 15 and interested in volunteering for the library? Why not apply to be a part of the Teen Team?

Literacy Volunteers

The Library's Adult Literacy Service offers one-on-one tutoring to adults and young adults (16+) who wish to improve their reading and writing skills.  Our tutors are people from the community.  Our tutors are people who find that a couple hours a week spent helping someone learn to read -- helping someone better his or her life -- is time well spent.  Our tutors are people like you.

Afterschool Homework Club Volunteers

The After-school homework club is available at the following six libraries: Brookside, Broken Arrow, Martin Regional, Maxwell Park, Schusterman-Benson and Suburban Acres

  • The One-to-One Homework assistance sites need Homework Coaches who will sit down and help students with their homework.
  • Each session lasts 30 minutes per student and the centers are open Monday to Thursday from September to May, hours vary.

   Whatever time you can give will make a difference in a child's life!
